Everybody, Everywear: Thrifted Edition

I feel like today is feature day. I swear I’m not just doing blog feature posts because I’m fresh out of my own ideas. :) It may or may not have to do with the fact that the pile of laundry lost in a draw between dressing up and shooting photos of myself and it (the laundry) getting folded. I know, what’s my deal with the laundry, right?! I’m told we should seize the day, so I did (which obviously meant I shouldn’t fold laundry). But enough about laundry. Today is “Thrift Day” on Everybody, Everywear. How could I pass that up? These are my most recent, favorite and best finds at the thrift store. The shirt, skirt and purse. I love all three and while I’m not wearing these out to the park with the boys, I might possibly be planning to wear it on an up and coming date night. I’ve always envied other’s long white skirts. I’d wondered if I could pull it off or better yet, could I wear white without immediately spilling condiments on it? (I’m known for my ketchup stains)

Since I found this entire outfit (minus the shoes, which are from Target) on the same day, in the same thrift store and all for a grand total of $7 I had to share. I might have a thrifting addiction, but from what I’m told, my Granddad was a man who loved getting a good deal too, so I’m thinking it’s genetic, therefore not my fault.

I love to thrift, it’s a genetic condition (just so we are clear) and this is my thrifted outfit for Everybody Everywear’s thrift day. Ta-da!

  4. What a great outfit and talent at thrifting.

Okay so when you say thrift stores do you mean places like Goodwill or more special kinds of places? How do you find good shops? Your readers would like to know ; )

Katie, thanks!! So…I shop most at the Salvation Army and only a little at Goodwill. I found a few other hole-in-the-wall type thrift stores, but they are all in areas that aren’t totally safe (haha!) so I haven’t been to those much. Plus, our Salvation Army is almost always running a great sale and gets new stuff in all the time. I don’t know what it is, but Goodwill is not so great. Their prices are really high for a thrift store. But once in a while I find something good there. :) I wish we lived closer so we could thrift together!

  6. Love the color and look of this teal blouse! It looks like the perfect summer top and versatile enough to go with almost anything. – Katy

  7. I really like that top! Nice find :)

  8. I think thrifting?the pursuit of a good deal is genetic as well. So, I have my parents to blame and thank.

I’m seriously addicted to thrfiting! I love getting a good bargain & I love being able to always “Make” new outfits out of things I’ve thrifted. Your outfit is super cute. I’ve found that long skirts are probably one of the most comfortable things in this world!
