From the 4th

Litte snips of our 4th of July parade. Jacob and Judah spent almost the entire time on the front line with Josh, watching the costumes and floats go by, while I sat in the shade chatting with the other parade watchers. Thank goodness we smathered the boys with sunscreen beforehand or they would have been singed gingers in every sense of the word.

Last Saturday we met up with Malisa and Anthony and our friend Jared for the food truck event put on by Off The Grid. It was pretty low key, happy kids, good food and even better company. I kind of love low key outings like that, don’t you?

So fun! I’ve been really wanting to go to one of the Off the Grid food truck meet ups. I just have to muster the energy for the crowds and chasing Meredith first :)

Claire, you guys should try coming to the one they do here…it was smaller, which means only a select few food trucks, but we’d join you :) I think they’re doing it every weekend but I’m not sure. I’ll chase Meredith and Jacob around while you eat

Claire, we’d be there to help with little Meredith too! Great post Jodi. Loved the singed gingers part!!!

So bummed we missed out. Norm brought back some food, so at least I got a taste of it. :) Let us know when you go again. There’s a huge one at Jack London Square in Oakland…I think it’s at the end of August.

Some of the food is pricey, but it’s a great way to try out different foods.

The older I get, the more I LOVE low-key :)
